Hello, window gazers!

April is lighting up with bold Aries energy, and it feels perfectly timed with the creative momentum I’m feeling right now. I especially love Aries season because my Mercury is in Aries — it gives me that quick, direct energy for writing and conversations. No time wasted — just forward motion and fresh ideas!

The novella continues to expand toward 50K words. This story has lived so vividly in my head for years that adding depth to the characters feels natural and exciting. Solomon, Adonijah, and Makeda are becoming even more alive on the page.

I’ve also been entering a few international writing competitions while actively querying. It’s all part of pushing the manuscript forward and making the opening hit harder.

Cosmically, we’ve got Mars energizing Aries, a New Moon in Aries on April 17 for fresh intentions, and Uranus entering Gemini on April 25 bringing innovative twists to ideas and communication. It all feels beautifully aligned with Makeda’s courageous journey.

I’ve been having so much fun creating my “Did You Know?” posts on Instagram — it’s a joyful way to share my love of ancient history. How are you liking them?
