August finds me back at the querying desk after three months away.

In that time the manuscript has grown significantly. What I once hoped might reach 50,000 words is now well past 60,000 — and still expanding. The deeper I go, the more the story reveals. Even though these events took place nearly three thousand years ago, there is still more to say.

This month also brings eclipse season, beginning with a total solar eclipse in Leo on August 12 and a lunar eclipse in Pisces later in the month. It feels like fitting energy for a period of creative expansion and renewed focus.
